Prenetics was the first Hong Kong unicorn to go public and I feel privileged to be able to support its mission
In May 2019, during the Covid-19 outbreak, as part of my global CSV initiatives, I created a new shared platform #LoveWithoutBorders to provide essential support and sustainable solutions to those in need around the world, by distributing masks produced by the Group.
This year, in August 2021, still along my CSV vision of enabling improved public access to healthcare services in Hong Kong and supporting entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, New World Development and Prenetics joined hands and launched Circle HealthPod, the world’s most advanced at-home Covid-19 test.
While this collaboration gave the HealthPod a vast footprint across the NWD’s vast ecosystem of malls, office buildings and cultural facilities, it also represents a paramount manifesto of New World Development’s and my commitment to social innovation, as we continue to support Hong Kong’s medical start-up scene, connecting it with the global audience.
Prenetics and I share the same vision to provide easily accessible healthcare services to the community and to demonstrate my commitment, my Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), Artisan Acquisition Corp, merged with Prenetics to support their growth strategy and make their services more widely available.
Prenetics was the first Hong Kong unicorn to go public and I feel privileged to be able to support its mission. Its offering has significant synergies with my network of millions of members spanning retail, hospitality, healthcare, property and other facilities and sectors and it is rewarding to continue to find opportunities for collaborate and elevate the brand.
This investment represents my commitment to social innovation and disruptive technology and it’s a milestone on my journey to supporting entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and the wider Greater Bay Area.
